Week 28/52 - Oceans

you call me out upon the waters
the great unknown where feet may fail
and there I find You in the mystery
in oceans deep
my faith will stand

Your grace abounds in deepest waters
Your sovereign hand
will be my guide
where feet may fail and fear surrounds me
You've never failed and You won't start now

so I will call upon Your name
and keep my eyes above the waves
when oceans rise
my soul will rest in Your embrace
for I am Yours and You are mine

Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
let me walk upon the waters
wherever You would call me
take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
and my faith will be made stronger
in the presence of my Savior

What an adventure.  Yes, I know I'm behind.  While in Atlanta, Georgia with my college group attending the 2014 Passion Conference (where this song was breathtakingly performed live), our school vans were broken into and among the things stolen was my laptop.
You know that verse in Ephesians where God will do exceedingly abundantly above anything that we could ask or think?  Well, as far as I knew it was going to be months before I could afford a new laptop and I was honestly at a loss for even what to pray for - besides asking God to take control in the situation.  He did.  Through a series of events and people that He used, I along with others in my group were given Mac laptops.  So I sit here in awe of His goodness on a schnazzy Macbook Pro in a coffee shop in Greenville, South Carolina.  The photos above were taken almost a year ago in San Fransisco during my senior trip with my high school choir.  Phenomenal memories - and I've been so photo starved I was looking through my hard drive for old unedited photos and found them and they were PERFECT.  The five words that would best describe me right now are:
Content, Blessed, Grateful, Waiting and in Love.  God is Good.

Week 27/52 - Now More Than Ever

dig my hands into the earth
sometimes I need You so bad, it hurts
I want You now more than ever

I've been living in a foreign land
confession of a broken man
I want You now more than ever

the more I see, the more I want
the more I know, it doesn't stop
your beauty speaks to call me home
now more than ever

the more I feel that You are here
the more the world disappears
and all I want is to be home
now more than ever

Awesome song.  Awesome (reluctant) brother.  Awesome fog.  Awesome trees.
Whole lot of awesome, don't you think? Me too.
I would prefer being much less far away from said awesomeness.
I miss it.
That's all.

Lochner Sisters

I've been wanting to share these photos with you for quite a while now!
Got together this past fall with Regina to take some senior photos for her and then have some fun with a sister shoot, and let me tell you it was a blast!  We decided that instead of letting the rainy weather beat us, we would take advantage of it and turn it into a themed shoot (as you will see later).
The colors, the light, those gorgeous blue eyes - Regina, simply lovely!

 And here began the fun with TWO lovely Lochners in rain boots (;

They got some serious AIR!

Week 26/52 - Life is Beautiful

These are things that make us feel alive
These are the times that make us realize

Life is beautiful

It is.  Self explanatory.  I love snow, I love this song and I love life.  I really do.
God is so good.
You really need to hear the rest of this song. Here:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bxlLAdXypCY

Rachel - from autumn

This mini-shoot was a combination of a (long-overdue) promo for Rachel's scarves and a birthday present to her from me!  Back during the days of Pennsylvania's bright autumn colors (: Enjoy!

Week 25/52 - Into the Silent Night

the snow is falling like I am for you
hear the children singing one of our favorite tunes
if you couldn't tell darling
I only have eyes for you

sun and rain
seasons change
but through it all
love remains
into the silent night
with you by my side
joy in a lonesome world
for this boy and girl
angels celebrate
as we stand face to face
with God's gift tonight
you and I

I've been waiting for snow like this.  I was running late already but I'm so glad I stopped to get this photo - it was worth rearranging my schedule for.  And in the hustle and bustle of a crazy day that went nothing like what was expected, it kept snowing which basically preserved my sanity - I think God knew I'd need it. (:
